Job Description:
Pure Blue Tech is seeking a Mechanical Electrical Technician to join our rapidly growing tech startup. In this role, you will maintain, fix, improve, and operate production equipment. The technician will be trained in operating existing equipment and will be the lead in understanding the mechanical and electrical operations of incoming equipment. The right candidate will have experience working on mechanical and electrical industrial equipment and is a team player that is results driven.

Pure Blue Tech is a membrane and water treatment technology innovator and manufacturer with the mission of reducing the cost of treating and reusing water. The startup was founded to develop and commercialize patented fouling reduction technologies for industrial and municipal applications. These technologies will increase clean water productivity, enhance efficiency, and reduce cleaning and maintenance. The company and its founder have been awarded multiple awards from organizations including U.S. EPA, U.S. Army, University of Washington, Forbes, and High Country News.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Performs regular maintenance and as needed troubleshooting of production equipment. Suggests additions and improvements to maintenance procedures.
•Implement production equipment modifications according to engineer’s plans. Including component changeout, component fabrication, and simple electrical wiring.
•Operate automated and semi-automated equipment.
•Assist in production tasks when needed.
•Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety guidelines.
•Flexible and able to carry out general electromechanical tasks.
•Actively contribute to continuous improvement of process and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
•Education: Prefer to have associate degree or certificate (from community college or trade college) in mechanical technician, electrical technician, industrial maintenance technology, or a similar degree. Sufficient field experience can be acceptable if no college degree.
•Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience is preferred.
•Relevant Experience: Recent experience in maintaining, fixing, and operating industrial equipment. Experience with high pressure fluid systems preferred.
•Independence: Ability to work independently under general supervision once trained.
•Ownership: Takes ownership of completed work and is accountable for outcomes. Self-aware and willing to ask for assistance when needed.
•Hands-On Experience: Experience in a warehouse, production, assembly, or shop setting using various power and/or hand tools.
•Problem-Solving Skills: Strong aptitude for innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
•Feedback Reception: Ability to accept and incorporate feedback to improve work performance.
•Adaptability: Comfortable and effective in a fast-paced startup environment.
•Physical Capability: Physically capable of standing for an entire 8-hour shift and lifting up to 50 lbs.
•Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management and productivity tools, including MS Office.
•Overtime: Willing and able to work overtime as needed.
•Legal Authorization: Authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
