We are looking for an Electrical Technician

Primary Job Functions

•

Operate safely at all times and promote an environment where safety and environmental compliance is the number one priority.

•

Follow standard safety procedures, correct safety and environmental hazards. Lead by example in all of these areas.

•

Maintains and repairs a variety of power tools and maintenance equipment ensuing they are in safe and efficient working order.

•

Leader or another member of the maintenance leadership team.

•

Comply with applicable Asset Management Standards requirements.

•

Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

•

Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems and other mechanical or electrical systems on equipment to assure optimum process performance.

•

Responsible for execution of all day to day plant maintenance activities.

•

Performs other duties as assigned by the Mechanical and I&E Maintenance Team

Required

•

Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering is preferred. 5 or more years in industrial plant experience or a combination of Power Plant training and experience.

•

Experience with high voltage work (desirable)

•

Professional Electrician registration or Electrician Licenses.

•

Strong computer skills.

•

Advanced technical English (desirable)

Other required knowledge

•

High degree of attention and care required to prevent injury to others when working with electrical power.

•

Strong trouble shooting and decision-making skills.

•

Proficient with electric meters and tools of the trade.

•

Read and understand P&ID’s, Loop Sheets, Schematics and other craft related drawings.

•

Strong interpersonal relationship skills.

•

Proven leadership ability.

•

Good communication skills, both written and oral.
