We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to support the design and development of new products, existing product improvements, and tooling solutions. This hands-on role requires a combination of creativity and technical expertise—particularly strong 3D modeling skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with engineering teams to bring ideas from concept to completion.
- Create and develop 3D models for new products, assemblies, tooling, and support for existing products based on customer and production needs.
- Generate detailed technical drawings from models to support manufacturing and inspection processes.
- Build and evaluate prototypes for concept validation, including inspection, assembly, and testing of parts throughout the pre-production phase.
- Perform testing, analysis, and calculations to validate and improve product designs.
- Support both scheduled long-term initiatives and ad hoc engineering tasks as they arise.
- Create, maintain, and manage top-level assemblies and related documentation throughout the design and manufacturing release process.
- Collaborate with other engineers on larger projects to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of mechanical design experience, including hands-on 3D modeling.- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in new product design and development, including part and assembly modeling, detailed drawings, and tooling design for manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of materials, material properties, and metal finishes.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and thorough documentation habits.
- Hands on mechanical experience
