MVP Holdings is a privately owned energy logistics company headquartered in Wichita, KS. MVP and its subsidiaries provide gathering, transportation, processing, storage, distribution, marketing and other midstream services to independent oil and natural gas producers, refiners of petroleum and products and other market participants located throughout the United States.
We are currently looking for a Mechanic to join our team in Barnhart, TX. This position is responsible for all aspects of repairs, preventative maintenance, testing and identifying maintenance issues in the pipelines and gathering systems. Our ideal candidate will be hard-working, self motivated, and eager to learn. This position would be a great opportunity for someone looking to grow or build upon existing experience.
Essential Functions
•Perform DOT required testing and maintenance of pipeline assets.
•Modifies, repairs, and replaces systems and equipment, installs new systems and equipment as required.
•Develop preventative maintenance programs and execution.
•Comply with the highest level of Safety procedures during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incident or accidents.
•Use proper tools and equipment to perform regulatory tasks on pipelines.
•Documentation, Planning and Recordkeeping.
•General repairs of pumps, valves, relief valves, and small bore piping.
•Develop new and maintain existing maintenance related procedures, processes, standards, and best practices as needed to maintain compliance with regulatory standards or improve effectiveness and efficiency.
•With specialized training and equipment identify/perform corrosion and integrity testing.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
•Ability to obtain and maintain all certifications for Operator Qualifications, Safety, and any other regulatory requirements.
•Strong commitment to job safety, understanding company policies and company practices, and staying informed and following regulatory requirements.
•Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
•Ability to read and interpret alignment sheets, schematics, and P&IDs, as well as perform basic mathematical calculations (additions, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals).
•Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
•Exhibit ability and desire to work independently and as part of a team as required.
•Utilize basic computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing applications, and possess the technical capacity to learn other software programs as needed.
•Internally motivated to start tasks and projects and committed to follow them until completion.
•Organized; able to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks and projects effectively.
•Attention to detail and ability to catch errors and inconsistencies in own work.
•Ability to critically evaluate complex situations and make decisions.
Requirements:
Education, Certifications, License
•Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Requires a valid Driver’s License.
Work Experience
•1+ year(s) of direct oil field experience is preferred

•Ability to be available for responding to emergency situations after work hours, nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
