Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shop Mechanic/ Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in servicing various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high-quality standards in all repairs.
Starting Pay: Based on experience
Duties
•
Perform journey-level repairs on pumps, lifts, small electric, and mechanical equipment.
•
Operate, deliver and move trucks, trailers, and equipment to job sites or warehouse.
•
Track project equipment for delivery, retrieval, and maintenance.
•
Plan, organize and coordinate project needs and equipment ahead of time. Prepare job boxes with materials and equipment for delivery to the job site.
•
Clean equipment and check for repairs after use on job sites. Report misuse or severe damage to Management for repair decisions.
•
Instruct and train co-workers on proper equipment, maintenance procedures and job safety.
•
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Requirements
•
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
•
Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery for assembly and repair tasks.
•
Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repairs or maintenance activities.
•
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
•
A valid driver's license may be required based on job responsibilities.
•
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
