As a materials intern you will complete and solidify the material databases and prepare the databases for future analyze through advance modeling. You will focus on oxidation and hydrogen pickup of zirconium alloys during this internship.
You will report to the Digital & Innovation team located at the Cranberry location. You will be a part-time remote employee. Theis is a paid internship starting in September 2025.
- Review existing material databases
- Identify and read reports and scientific papers as data sources
- Identify relevant parameters and suggest a database architecture
- Report on identified mechanisms for the oxidation and hydrogen pick-up of zirconium alloys in water
- Identify and address gaps in the existing data
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, chemical, material science, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of advance modeling
- You will have completed Sophomore year of college
