The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has an opening for a junior or rising senior with an Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering background to work as a power plant engineering intern for the summer of 2026. You Will Be Trusted To
- Perform a variety of progressively responsible engineering assignments involving engineering principles, under the limited supervision of a licensed professional engineer
- Contribute to engineering projects involving adaptations and modifications to Power Plant systems, equipment, materials and procedures.
- Contribute to tests and diagnosis and evaluation of equipment performance for power plants.
- Prepare reports, operating instructions and project outlines in connection with engineering assignments. Follow appropriate business procedures, and apply project management techniques.

You Qualify With
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program in junior year or has completed junior year and will be starting senior year.
