Position Summary

The Material Handler will receive, store, issue, and ship materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports.

Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL :

•

Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.

•

Maintain an orderly workspace to Pack, unpack, stock, and inventory all items within your department responsibility.

•

Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.

•

Properly create and maintain all shipping data.

•

Determine shipping method

•

Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand truck and sorting bins.

•

Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.

•

All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

•

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent related work experience.

•

On Call rotation is a requirement (including nights, weekends, and holidays)

•

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and has the willingness to undertake new & challenging assignments.

DESIRED:

•

One (1) to Two (2) years’ experience in a warehouse environment preferred.

•

Oil & Gas industry experience preferred

Knowledge of appropriate steps to analytical problem solving.

Ability to operate material handling equipment.

•

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

•

Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is considered ONSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows:

Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.

•

Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.

•

Work surface is stable (flat).
