Material Handler In-Charge - Montevideo, MN

We anticipate the need for one Material Handler In-charge to be located at the Montevideo Service Center in Montevideo, MN. The starting rate of pay for this position is $49.40 hourly. The position will be posted for 10 working days from August 21, 2025, to September 4, 2025.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform the duties of the Material handler In-Charge classification, performing the daily operational activities of the material handling functions at assigned geographic locations.

This position requires the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. A high awareness of safety and compliance with company safety rules is required at all times.

Serve as the day-to-day interface with local operational customers. Duties include but not limited to material ordering from suppliers and from other internal storerooms as necessary. Receiving activities which include unload and loading of trucks and receipt of materials both stock and non-stock. Put away activities, order filling, and stage orders for field construction crews. Process material returns/credits from the field. Keep work area and yard cleaned and organized as necessary. Provide excellent customer service for local management and field employees. Participate in all safety and training programs.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED.

- Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A; or able to obtain within 6 months of employment.

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. safely.

- Fork Lift Certification and one year of Forklift operation experience is strongly preferred.

- Electric and Gas knowledge and/or warehouse/logistics experience in utility industry

- SAP Computer experience & proficiency.

- May require participation in after-hour emergency call outs.

- Must reside within 20 miles of the Montevideo Service Center within 6 months
