Material Handler/Assembler

Overview

Spokane Stainless Technologies, Inc. is looking for a shop material handler to do various types of shop duties including part pickups and deliveries. Must be able to use forklifts, hand tools, and must be able and have experience pulling and backing up trailers.

Duties

- Packing/preparing products for shipment

- Loading and unloading delivery trucks

- Operating forklifts

- Operating overhead cranes

- Deliveries and pickups from suppliers with the company truck and trailer

- Provide professional communication with customers/suppliers

- Interact with various levels of management and customers

- Ability to read instructions, shop drawings, and work orders for multiple jobs

- Miscellaneous shop related jobs; (cutting, drilling, sanding and shearing stainless steel sheet)

Requirements

- High School diploma or GED.

- Must have a valid driver’s license.

- Must have experience driving with a trailer. No exceptions.

- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50lbs frequently

- Ability to sit, stand and walk up to 10 hours per day

- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment

- Ability to multitask

- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills

- Flexible and responsive with strong teamwork orientation

- Professional appearance

- Must follow all safety requirements

- This is a “Safety Sensitive” position. Applicants must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Shift:

- 10-hour shift

- Day shift 5:00am – 3:30pm M-TH

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
