Manual Machinist

Schedule Details:

- Monday to Friday

- 6:30am - 4:00pm

- Overtime may be required on weekends

Job Summary

The Manual Machinist position is responsible to manufacture and repair our products on various turning, milling, cutting, and grinding machines. The incumbent will work according to engineering specifications and follow standard operating procedures such as drawings and work instructions. This position will perform preventative maintenance of all the machines and tools as required on a regular basis.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

- Manufacture and repair incoming customer property to engineered drawing and specifications.

- Inspect and document all work performed to ensure it complies with engineering requirements prior to release.

- Report quality issues through our Non-Conformance Report (NCR) as required.

- Perform work in accordance with safety program and procedures, with due care and attention for both yourself and your co-workers.

- Meet or exceed allotted repair operation times to ensure that the overall service schedule can be met.

- Performing pre-start-up inspection of machines and equipment in accordance with maintenance programs.

- Be part of a work environment that promotes success, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement.

- Make recommendations to supervisors/management to improve productivity, safety and quality.

- Act as a technical source of information for supervisors/management when required including professional interaction with co-workers and customers.

- Any other duties as directed by the Foreman

Qualification Requirements: (Minimum Education and Experience)

Basic Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- 5+ years of experience in manual machining.

- API Thread Cutting experience preferred.

- Mechanical background is preferable.

- Experience in using various measuring instruments for precise measurements.

- Knowledge of work holding and tooling selection.

- Refer to level guide.

- Self-starter; motivated, task focused and results driven.

- Good oral and written communication skills.

Physical Demands:

- Must be able to sit, and/or stand for long periods of time.

- Able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs

- Exposure to dust, fumes or gasses

- Exposure to change of temperature or humidity

- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

Schedule:

- Weekends as needed
