As a Cost Control Manager, you will be responsible for leading the cost control for the Network Development budget and provide leadership to the IOM (Irving Oil Management) project controls team. Your goal will be to ensure that project planning, forecasting, and cost controls are in place for all projects with major spending, while engaging with Supply Management to achieve cost savings. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver effective cost management and drive measurable savings across projects.

- Manage cost control of capital and R&M (Repairs & Maintenance) expenses
- Develop work breakdown structures and project coding systems to ensure control and integrity of work
- Ensure projects have defined scope, budgets, and business cases (where needed), with all documents attached to I-D-E-A approvals
- Lead and review the project controls team’s work to ensure timely and accurate requisitions, receiving, change orders, and charge-backs
- Develop integrated schedules and cost reports to support project execution
- Oversee cost, change, and forecast management, analyzing variances in costs associated with scope of work
- Provide regular status reporting and prepare monthly R&M expense reports for management
- Attend project status meetings and participate in risk reviews to ensure proactive issue management
- Enable the development of Project Controls team members, completing performance management, salary administration, and other HR activities

- Strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Bachelors Business Administration
- Minimum 5-10 years Project Management experience
