Job Summary
Leads and manages a team responsible for monthly financial consolidations, quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP subsidiary financial reporting, and financial statements for various benefit plans.
Essential Functions
•Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial consolidations in accordance with GAAP and company policies
•Product owner for SAP BPC Consolidations module including testing of consolidation processes and reports for systems updates and implementations
•Facilitate the development of streamlined reporting between SAP BPC and the Workiva Platform in the support of financial reporting
•Develop and train internal stakeholders in the use of SAP BPC and related reporting functionality
•Review and submission of external U.S. GAAP subsidiary financial statements
•Review and submission of reporting and compliance requirements of employee benefit plans, including those filed on Form 11-K
•Support the review and submission of external financial statements, footnotes and MD&A for SEC filings including Forms 10-K and 10-Q, in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
•Research and maintain strong technical accounting knowledge to support appropriate reporting and work cross-functionally with the Benefits Administration Accounting team to anticipate potential accounting and reporting impacts and recommend practical solutions associated with business transactions
•Special projects as assigned
•Maintain a strong control environment to facilitate SOX compliance
•Coordinate with external auditors and serve as a key contact during the annual financial statement audit process
Education Description
•Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
•CPA certification required
Experience
•Minimum seven (7) years of relevant experience, with at least two years of SAP BPC experience.
•SAP BPC system and EPM reporting tools experience required
•Workiva platform experience preferred
•Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting requirements
•Big 4 public accounting and energy industry experience preferred
Additional Knowledge, Skills, Licenses/Certifications, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
•Thorough understanding of the SAP BPC Consolidations.
•Advanced Excel skills and proficient with other Microsoft Office software.
•Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex financial metrics to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
•Demonstrate analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
•Strong project management and efficiency-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
•Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
