Overview:
This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Tasks include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues, and documenting work. Must follow safety protocols, read technical documents, and communicate effectively with supervisors.
Responsibilities:
•Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing process equipment including, but not limited to, vessels, reactors, storage tanks, heating and cooling systems, vacuum pumps, diaphragm pumps, motors, gear boxes, valves, lift trucks, and various industrial utilities systems.
•Start and monitor machines post-repair to verify functionality and identify issues.
•Inspect components, mark defects, and report repair needs to supervisors.
•Install or replace machine parts and attachments according to production requirements.
•Work collaboratively to complete repairs or move machinery and equipment.
•Perform general facility maintenance in production, warehouse, and office areas.
•Operate and care for all tools and equipment safely, including personal protective equipment (PPE).
•Report any safety concerns or damages to supervisor.
•Maintain awareness of surroundings to navigate safely around active work areas.
•Consistently wear required PPE.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•3 years previous knowledge and experience maintaining plant equipment including, but not limited to: vessels, reactors, storage tanks, vacuum pumps, diaphragm pumps, motors, gear boxes, valves, lift trucks, and various industrial utility systems (Preferred).
•Ability to correctly read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
•Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the company.
•Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
•Ability to develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
•Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
•Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
•May be required to demonstrate strong customer relations skills.
