As Maintenance Technician, this position is responsible for uptime and effectiveness of all Reco NC’s plant equipment, machinery and other plant assets by performing the proper maintenance to keep the plant operating at its maximum efficiency.
· Utilize predictive and preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime.
· Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
· Tests machinery as necessary to diagnose malfunctions and to keep the equipment operating effectively.
· Crosstrain technicians to ensure communication between maintenance shifts and production departments is clear and effective.
· Dismantles machines, equipment or devices to access and remove defective parts.
· Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems on all machinery and equipment.
· Gathers adequate information to order parts, supplies, or equipment as needed.
· Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals or schematics.
· Perform equipment installations and connections to utilities as needed.
· Assemble, install, repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, piping systems, plumbing, machinery and equipment.
· Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
· Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
· Physical ability to work in an office setting; to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time.
· Physical ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements.
· Physical ability to operate office equipment requiring repetitive movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
