Position: Maintenance Technician

Division: Recycling

Status: Full Time/Hourly Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will provide assistance in all aspects of maintenance such as welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

SUPERVISES: N/A

Essential Responsibilities:

•

Maintenance/Repair tasks at the plant.

•

Preventative maintenance/repair tasks on mobile equipment.

•

Preventive maintenance/repair tasks on furnaces, power supplies and plant operational equipment and processes.

•

Repairs of unscheduled equipment issues causing downtime

•

Completing work orders & PM paperwork

•

Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position

•

Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes

•

THIS POSITION WILL WORK FROM 3 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - Friday, which adds .75/hr. night shift premium

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

•

Forklift experience is preferred but not required.

•

Industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities

Self-starter, dependable and work well with other team members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

•

Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.

•

Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

•

Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
