Summary

Procure parts, equipment and material used in the Turbine Department by locating vendors and determining if qualified to sell or repair quality related equipment, parts and materials. Maintain appropriate levels of shop stock. Inventory incoming equipment. Prepare corrective and preventative maintenance work orders in accordance with NRC, Federal and Palo Verde regulations and procedures. Maintain SIMS and department databases. Track item deliver dates will meet online and outage milestones or work with leaders to develop contingencies for parts that will not make milestone dates.

Minimum Requirements

HS/GED and 3 years related experience.

Requires extensive MLIS and SIMS knowledge to generate, complete, and close work orders.

Knowledge of MS Office products to support departmental functions.

Must have a general familiarity of calibration equipment and terminology.

Be familiar with APS procurement procedures and practices.

Nuclear requirement: Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.

This is a condition of employment at PVNGS.

Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guide are applicable to all PVNGS employees.

Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage.

This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities.

Major Accountabilities

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1) Prepares corrective and preventative maintenance work orders, which comply with NRC and Palo Verde guidelines and procedures.

2) Initiates PR's for equipment sent off-site for repair. Maintains appropriate files and records. Follow up with vendors to ensure equipment is received on schedule.

3) Tracks rotating equipment that is sent offsite for repairs

4) Orders, maintains and receives equipment for work orders in accordance with the milestone process

5) Verifies and updates new PM due dates, intervals, frequency and status.

6) Inspects equipment being returned from vendors. Completes appropriate portions of (VOC) Verification of Calibration form.

7) Updates and maintains work order and department databases.

Location-Based Role:

This position requires employees to work at the (Location), with some flexibility. Flexibility will be determined with the hires employee and leadership, but the ultimate decision is the company's.

Any PVGS employees may be called upon for random Fitness for Duty (FFD) testing during scheduled working hours. Employees, if off-site, must report to FFD at Palo Verde as soon as reasonably practicable, but no more than 120 minutes after being notified. Employees who are onsite when notified will have no more than 60 minutes to report after being notified.
