Bell Lumber & Pole MB ulc, formerly Roblin Forest Products, is hiring a Maintenance Manager/ Millwright to join our team in Roblin, MB . The Maintenance Manager is tasked with maintaining our facility's functionality, safety, and operational efficiency. This experienced technician will carry out diverse maintenance and repair tasks, execute complex equipment inspections, and actively contribute to the overall performance and safety of our workplace.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or certification preferred.
Experience: Substantial prior experience in general maintenance or a related field. Proficiency in installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and is frequently required to sit, talk and hear, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics are best defined as a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to elements such as heat, cold, precipitation or toxic fumes. Employees will have moderate exposure to noise as heard in a pole yard and/or treating plant environment, at times noise levels may exceed safe working levels. Employees will be required to wear ear protection and appropriate PPE. Employees will have light exposure to the chemicals and solutions used in treating wood and cleaning the plant. The job may require overtime and employee may be called in during emergency situations.
