Under general direction, act as lead over Electrical Technicians providing ongoing guidance and training. Assist Supervisor Site Maintenance in daily work requirements. May perform functions of Supervisor Site Maintenance in their absence. Under general direction performs corrective maintenance i.e., troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and functional testing of all site electrical systems, and equipment such as contactors, protective relays, circuit breakers, disconnects, lighting, transformers, motors, motor operated valves and cabling systems authorized under Level of Repair (LOR) for Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) equipment. Under general direction performs preventive/predictive maintenance on all site electrical systems and equipment following approved procedures. Ensures proper and timely preparation of all required work related documentation. Under general direction operates support equipment necessary to the proper and effective performance of assigned duties. Under general direction assists operations personnel with equipment lockout/tagout, assists subcontractors in performing preventive and corrective maintenance. Reads and interprets schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and follows state, local, and national codes. Ensures proper and timely preparation of all required work related documentation Performs other duties as assigned following approved procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Associate Degree from accredited school and six years experience. EXPERIENCE IN LIEU OF EDUCATION: A minimum of eight years practical experience in electrical systems maintenance. Certification through an approved electrical training/apprenticeship program desired. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES: Valid Class E State Drivers License.
