SUMMARY:
As a Maintenance & Assembly Millwright, you will be essential in ensuring the operational efficiency of our manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your role involves performing industrial maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and interpreting schematics. Core skills in mechanical knowledge and maintenance will be vital, while premium skills in programmable logic controllers and HVAC will enhance your effectiveness. Your ability to provide customer service and analyze issues will contribute significantly to our team's success in maintaining high production standards and minimizing downtime.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Assemble and install mechanical systems, components, and equipment in accordance with drawings and specifications.
•Set up and align equipment such as bearings, motors, gearboxes, drives, and pumps.
•Install and connect piping systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic lines.
•Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable and safe operations.
•Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
•Supervise the assembly of products to ensure quality, accuracy and efficiency in alignment with company standards and customer delivery requirements.
•Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
•Maintain accurate records of work completed using tools such as SiteDocs.
•Work collaboratively with fabrication, welding, and project management teams during assembly.
•Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment and machinery.
•Run test completed machine as required by customer.
•Move material using over head cranes.
•Drill holes using hand drills and drill press, punch holes using iron worker.
•Adhere to and promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
•Other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial or construction millwright, preferably in custom steel fabrication or water treatment equipment.
•Certificate of Qualification (433A) is preferred or in-progress; Red Seal is an asset.
•Solid understanding of industrial equipment and machinery: alignment, fitting, and fastening techniques.
•Familiarity with hydraulic schematics, pneumatic layouts, and basic electrical systems.
•Comfortable using hand and power tools, hoisting equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
•Physically fit to lift, bend, and work in various environments.
