Maintenance and Manufacturing Support Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of CNC machinery and supporting pre and post-machining processes. This role is critical to both machine reliability and final product quality.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of managing recurring maintenance tasks while also assisting with component finishing and material delivery to machines . Training will be provided on specific processes and equipment, but familiarity with production machining is a plus.

Duties

Preventative & Routine Machine Maintenance

- Perform daily/weekly fluid checks and replenishments (way oil, coolant, bar feeder oil).

- Conduct routine tasks such as chip barrel changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and spill containment.

- Complete periodic deep cleaning, fluid changes, and battery replacements to ensure optimal machine performance.

Equipment Care & Compliance

- Maintain Tsugami Swiss and Okuma LB3000 machines in peak condition.

- Document all maintenance activities to ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

- Safely manage coolant disposal, hydraulic oil changes, and related environmental standards.

Material Handling

- Daily movement of bar steel from inventory area to machining via a forklift

- Forklift Certification Required

- Some sawing / prepping of bar stock for machines

- Required to enter lots and inventory moves into ERP system

Post-Production & Finishing Operations

- Assist post-production team with mechanical finishing (tumbling, deburring, sandblasting).

- Perform cleaning, passivation, and heat-treat preparation as required.

- Support inspection processes, including sorting and assisting with dimensional quality checks.

Experience

- Experience: Previous experience in a Maintenance, Production, or similar manufacturing environment is preferred but not strictly required. We value a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

- Work Ethic: Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently to manage a recurring schedule of preventative maintenance tasks.

- Environment: Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that includes exposure to coolants, oils, chips, and noise.

- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.

- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing issues effectively and implementing solutions promptly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
