Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our facilities, equipment, and systems. You will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and implement effective solutions.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and inventory.

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies during and outside of normal working hours, if required.

- Assist with installation and setup of equipment and fixtures.

- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.

- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate repairs and minimize downtime.

- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify potential problems or safety hazards.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance areas and shop.

- Manage tools, supplies, and spare parts inventory.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required; technical school or trade certification is a plus.

- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.

- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

- Proficient with hand and power tools.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in HVAC, electrical, or other relevant trades.

- OSHA safety training.

- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Work Environment:

- Indoor and outdoor environments.

- May involve exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, and moving machinery.

- Occasional overtime or on-call work may be required.
