Machinist- Component Shop

A Machinist is responsible for completing the following duties:

- Process raw materials into machined parts based on production needs and job specifications.

- Operate and set up various machines, including Press Brake, Shear, Ironworker, Band Saw, Drill Press, Lathe, and Mill.

- Ensure proper machine adjustments, regular maintenance, and safe operations according to safety protocols.

- Organize raw materials efficiently to minimize waste and maintain a clean work area.

- Follow additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Compensation

- The starting pay range for this position is $20-$24 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.

Day Shift

- 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday

Qualifications

- Ability to read 1/8” , 1/16”, and 1/32” gradations

- Understand conversion of inches/decimals (using conversion chart)

- Ability to read blueprints

- Understanding of how to use dial caliper and veneer

- Understanding of dimensions and sizing of common structural steel
