Machinist - Custom Metal Fabrication Shop

Responsibilities:

- Must be able to effectively read and interpret blueprints/schematics to perform accurate set-ups.

- Must understand materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.

- Ability to machine from prints and/or samples.

- Responsible for personal safety and those around him/her. Maintains excellent housekeeping standards.

Knowledge/Skills:

- Licensed journeyman.

- 3-5 years manual machining experience.

- Ability to work under pressure/ tight deadlines.

Experience with the following equipment:

- Horizontal Lathe

- Manual milling machine

- Drill Press

- Radial Arm Press

Experience with the following processes:

- Broaching

- Keyways/slots

- Bearing Fitting (clearance and interference)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
