Supports manufacturing facility with electrical installations, troubleshooting and repair of electrical components on large equipment, and by planning layout and installing wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
Responsibilities:
•Evaluate and repair and/or replace machinery, equipment, electrical wiring, and/or fixtures
•Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment
•Maintain existing electrical system from high voltage infrastructure to low voltage equipment, including 440/220/110V
•Responsible for moving machinery including disassembly and re-assembly of electrical connections
•Follow and/or create electrical schematics and blueprints
•Follows National Electrical Code for both state and local building regulations
•Plan and implement new or modified installations while minimizing waste of materials, avoiding unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, and ensuring electrical compatibility and safety of components
•Adheres to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
•Communicates effectively with management, engineers, and co-workers about maintenance progress and challenges
•Works with the extended maintenance team to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed using a team approach
Qualification and Skills
•Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
•Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
•Technical knowledge of millwright, mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic systems, and their maintenance requirements is preferred
•Ability to read and create electrical schematics and blueprints
•Familiarity and experience with high voltage systems similar to 34.5V
•Ability to use electrical hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.)
•Able to perform tasks independently as well as in a group
•Knowledge of OSHA, MSDS, LOTO, and general safety requirements
Work Schedule:
•Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

While performing the duties of the job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear, or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional loud noises. A representative wage range is included in this posting. Final wage will be based on experience.
