JOB OVERVIEW
Employee is responsible for installing and maintaining electrical machines, equipment and power systems while adhering to all Canadian and Provincial Electrical Codes. Employees may perform inside/outside routine maintenance or extensive preventative maintenance for the building, grounds, machines and equipment that includes setup and adjustments for production runs and repair work for machine breakdowns.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•High School Diploma Required
•Valid Driver’s License Required
•Master Electrician’s License
•Three (3) Years Maintenance-Related Experience Required
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
•Ability to work safely in all job aspects, adhering to company and local regulations
•Proficient in reading electrical schematics and blueprints
•Skilled in troubleshooting electrical circuits, including PLCs
•Capable of diagnosing and resolving electrical issues using appropriate testing tools, such as a multimeter
•Able to repair or replace faulty wiring, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
•Competent in installing and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
•Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work a flexible schedule of 40+ hours as needed
•Able to read and understand written instructions, follow verbal directions, and comply with safety protocols and maintenance procedures
•Proficient in basic mathematical concepts, including fractions and decimals, for calculations and measurements using tape measures or micrometers
•Knowledgeable in mechanical tasks, including fabricating and troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
•Familiar with the operation of general maintenance equipment, such as cranes, forklifts, welding/cutting tools, and hand/power tools
•Team-oriented, with a focus on quality assurance and safety while performing maintenance or operational tasks
•Self-motivated, able to work independently, multitask, and perform under pressure
•Strong communication skills to interact with management, colleagues, and external vendors
•Good visual acuity, including near and far vision, and coordination of multiple limbs
•Capable of manual dexterity and moderate to heavy lifting (20-80 lbs.) while completing job duties
•Able to stand, walk, and bend repetitively during normal work activities
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
•Conduct a safety evaluation of work area prior to performing maintenance actions.
•Perform at a training-level capacity inside/outside, routine maintenance or preventive maintenance actions for building(s), grounds, machines, and equipment following standard operating and safety procedures. Maintenance actions include setup actions for product runs; troubleshooting, repairing, and installing machinery/equipment; calibrating and repairing pneumatic systems; inspection of belts, fluid levels, filters, bearings, seals, etc.; providing corrective actions as required.
•Perform at a training-level capacity inside/outside, minor/major emergency repairs as required for building(s), grounds, machines, and equipment following standard operating and safety procedures.
•Perform at a training-level capacity computerized control and monitoring of mechanical equipment.
•Perform housekeeping actions adhering to post maintenance/repair procedures.
