The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of all equipment and tools used in our Pickens manufacturing facility. This role directly supports production by reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring a safe, efficient working environment. The technician will work across a variety of machines—including forklifts, heavy equipment, bandsaws, electrical systems, plasma tables, beamlines, welding machinery, vertical saws, and air compressors—while documenting maintenance procedures and ensuring compliance with Bridge Brothers’ quality and safety standards.
- Conduct routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on all manufacturing machinery and shop tools.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, inspection checklists, and service records.
- Repair and troubleshoot equipment such as forklifts, heavy equipment, plasma machines, bandsaws, electrical systems, beamlines, welding machines, and compressors.
- Track and coordinate scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost savings, and safety.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production impact.
- Work with shop leadership to prioritize maintenance projects and equipment upgrades.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Complete other maintenance duties as assigned by site supervisors and managers.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial and mechanical equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with structural steel manufacturing equipment highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in physically demanding shop conditions.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and prioritizing repairs.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety.
- Indoor/outdoor manufacturing and fabrication setting.
- Frequent exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, fumes, and seasonal weather.
- Requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required and provided, including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection.
- Must be comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight production deadlines.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Overtime: Available as needed
