Logistics Associate

Job Summary

The Powder Coating Logistics Associate is responsible for managing the flow of materials and finished parts throughout the powder coating process. This position plays a key role in maintaining organized inventory, preparing products for coating and shipment, coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and familiar with manufacturing or coating environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, inspect, and document incoming raw materials and fabricated parts.

- Lead staging, organization, and preparation of parts for the powder coating line according to production schedules.

- Track work through the coating, curing, and packaging stages.

- Coordinate with production staff to ensure timely movement of parts between departments.

- Package, label, Kit, and prepare finished products for shipment.

- Schedule pickups and deliveries with powder coating vendor logistics.

- Maintain accurate inventory of coated and uncoated materials.

- Complete shipping and receiving documentation, including purchase orders, bills of lading and delivery receipts.

- Ensure work areas comply with OSHA and company safety standards.

Qualifications / Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing preferred.

- Experience in powder coating, metal finishing, or a related industry is a plus.

- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Computer skills (Daily use of excel, QuickBooks, and inventory systems).

- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with production and shipping teams.

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with powder coating processes and quality standards.

- Familiarity with the construction industry and manufacturing of architectural aluminum fabrication.

- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.

- Experience with logistics scheduling or shipping software.
