Logistics and Shipping Technician

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Materials & Shipping Handler/ Forklift Operator to join our team and contribute to our success.

Position Overview: The Materials & Shipping Handler/ Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and safely operating forklifts to transport materials within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes and other material handling equipment to transport materials within the facility.

2. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

3. Perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the warehouse and work areas clean and organized.

4. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards at all times.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment

- Valid forklift operator certification/license preferred.

- Experience with operating overhead cranes preferred.

- Proven experience as a materials clerk, warehouse associate, or forklift operator in a manufacturing environment.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 70 pounds).

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Schedule:

4 Day Work Week Monday- Thursday- 36 +4 Shift Program

Hours: 7am-4:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Hourly Rate: $18 per hour to start
