IHI Power Service Corp. (IPSC) has a career opportunity for a Logistics & Warehouse Lead at our Air Plant1 in Moses Lake, WA. Salary range for the position is $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Summary
The Logistics & Warehouse Lead will be responsible for supply chain and warehouse operations; this position is seeking a professional with expertise in safety leadership, EH&S compliance, and hazardous materials handling. Skilled in ERP systems (Oracle SCM, SAP, NetSuite), procurement, vendor negotiation, and inventory management. The position also requires experience in logistics, warehouse operations, quality control, and regulatory compliance, with proven ability to optimize processes and ensure safe, efficient material flow.
Job Functions
- Strong focus and safety leadership: Understanding of safety protocols, expertise in implementing safety practices and EH&S establishing compliance processes in warehouse operations
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle SCM, SAP, NetSuite). Development of processes to manage item master data, stock levels, and supply orchestration within ERP, and with modules for procurement, inventory, and logistics
- Purchasing and Procurement: Understanding of and hands-on experience in requisition to-receipt workflows and PO lifecycle management. skills in vendor negotiation, RFx processes, and contract management, ability to align purchasing decisions with project timelines and cost centers
- Inventory Management: Competence in developing processes to and managing stock levels, reorder points, and cycle counts, experience with inventory transfers, adjustments, and visibility tracking and knowledge of preservation strategies for idle or critical spares
- Warehousing and Receiving: Ability to coordinate inbound logistics, receiving inspections, and storage assignments, expertise with warehouse layout planning and material movement tracking. Ability to receive, unload, and inspect all shipments.
- Inspection and Quality Control: Experience conducting inspections and managing disposition workflows, ability to document and report quality metrics and deviations
- Risk Mitigation and Compliance: Scenario planning and contingency development for supply disruptions
- Responsible for shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations-including unloading, inspection, documentation, and storage of materials. Possesses extensive experience in logistics, including the receipt and shipment of manufactured goods, with a particular emphasis on produced liquids and gases.
- Hazardous Materials Handling: Knowledge of DOT regulations for bulk liquid cargo tanks (e.g., MC-306/DOT-406. IATA), Familiarity with cryogenic and flammable material safety: handling compressed CO2 , CO and volatile hydrocarbons, and SAF. Understanding of hazardous decomposition risks and compatibility with oxidizers and metals.
- Truck & Rail Loading Operations: Experience with semi-automated loading systems including Scully grounding and overfill protection. Ability to operate and troubleshoot product pumps, flow indicators, and vapor equalization systems. Coordination between field operators and control room for safe product transfer.
- Product Storage & Transfer: Operation of Day Tanks, Product Tanks, and Off-Spec Tanks with integrated heating systems to maintain product integrity. Familiarity with the execution of quality testing protocols and reprocessing of off-spec fuel.
- Documentation & Data Logging: Use of local data historians to log and archive product transfer events including volume, driver, and trucking company. Accurate recordkeeping for compliance and audit readiness.
- Interface with operations, procurement and logistics to prioritize orders, monitor lead times, provide forecast information, and resolve logistical issues.
- Address any logistical challenges or discrepancies, such as delayed shipments, damaged goods, or inventory shortages & resolve issues promptly.
Education and Experience – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in materials management, logistics, or inventory control; oil & gas, energy, or industrial manufacturing background preferred; or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations Management (or related field) or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Certification in the areas of: Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), OSHA Hazardous Materials Handling, DOT Compliance for Bulk Liquid Transport
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Proficiency with Oracle SCM, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize processes, solve problems, and improve efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

- Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety practices and procedures.
- Must possess basic math skills, good verbal communications skills, and be proficient with the use of power and precision tools; Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other technical reporting tools.
- Aptitude for reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and documentation.
- Skilled in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and operational data systems.
- Must be cooperative with those he/she contacts in this work and have the ability to work without direct supervision.
Work Environment – Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
- Protective equipment such as hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, air masks, hearing protection, chemical suits, hot gloves, and other equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties.

- Although predominately indoors, may include working outdoors.
