Logistic Dispatcher

Compass Natural Gas Partners LP, headquartered in Harrisburg, PA, is an independent natural gas distribution company. We source natural gas, compress it at our terminals, and deliver it by truck to our customers in Ohio and neighboring states. Our team is comprised of innovative, driven, self-motivated personnel and we are now seeking a Dispatcher to join the team at our compressed natural gas (CNG) facility in Cadiz, OH Area. The Dispatcher will schedule and dispatch deliveries while ensuring the fleet is properly allocated amongst our customers and projects. Compass operates on a 24/7, just-in-time (JIT) delivery model, so attention to detail is paramount. The Dispatcher will also assist, as needed, throughout daily operations.

Core Job Responsibilities

- Create and maintain delivery schedule and make changes as necessary

- Schedule company drivers, as well as 3 party carriers.

- Create Bill of Lading (BOL) for loads and ensuring proper record keeping is maintained

- Monitor transportation fleet using functional systems (e.g., GPS/tracking software).

- Coordinate with facility operations to ensure proper distribution of product.

- Able to work on a regular work schedule but also able to work extended days, nights and weekends, as needed.

- Work with terminal operators to plan and assist in weekend deliveries/scheduling.

Education and Minimum Acceptable Qualifications.

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- 2-4 years’ experience in dispatching preferred

- Available to work weekends/nights/holidays.

- Ability to work independently, practice attention to detail, and make sound decisions independently when necessary.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Excellent problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

- Experience with JIT logistics operations preferred, but not required

- Knowledge of FMCSA requirements on HOS

- Knowledge of the natural gas industry, specifically compression/decompression/CNG operations preferred, but not required.

- Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job, including climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary.

Travel

This position is based in Cadiz, OH and requires frequent travel to compressed natural gas facilities, gas well pads, and other work sites within a 75–100-mile radius.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
