Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our Trash and Septic Division at H&S Rentals. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching septic truck drivers and technicians to various locations to clean, deliver and pick up trash and portable restroom (POJ) combo trailers. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a strong understanding of logistics and scheduling to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate Dispatch Operations: Schedule and dispatch septic truck drivers and technicians to customer locations for the delivery and pickup of trash and POJ combo trailers.

- Logistics Management: Plan cleaning routes to maximize efficiency, minimize fuel costs, and meet delivery deadlines.

- Monitor Schedules: Track driver and technician availability, ensuring optimal routing and timely completion of service requests.

- Maintain Records: Document all dispatch activities, including service requests, driver assignments, and job completion status, using company software systems.

- Ensure Compliance: Verify that all operations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards for waste and septic services.

- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with drivers, technicians, and management to ensure smooth operations and address any operational challenges.

- Problem Solving: Handle unexpected issues such as equipment breakdowns, traffic delays, or customer complaints, and implement solutions promptly.

Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field, preferably in waste management, septic services, or a rental company.

- Skills:

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge: Familiarity with septic systems, waste management regulations, and TCEQ requirements is a plus.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or dispatching are preferred.

- Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions

- Schedule: Full-time position with occasional evenings or weekends based on operational needs.

- Environment: Office-based role with regular interaction via phone, email, and dispatch software.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods and use computer systems for dispatching and record-keeping.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
