· Identify non-conformances and notify department leads and shipping supervisor.
In addition to the Responsibilities of “Order Loader”:
· Ensure designated equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.).
· Visually inspects all material to identify any non-conformances.
· Ensure all material is protected from potential damage that could occur during transit.
· Utilizes Pick Ticket information to accurately verify and record information on shrink-wrapped pallets.
· Properly matches shipments to the loading forms ensuring vehicles are loaded with the correct material.
· Properly fills out information required on pick ticket and accompanying forms.
· Attends safety meetings to identify departmental issues and discuss ways to correct them.
· Identifies areas of improvement while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
· Duties are not limited to those described above and may be expanded as needed.
· Speak and read English. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
· Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables
· Basic computer skills. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
· Ability to drive forklift and secure certification.
· Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
· Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with back support.
· Able to stand and operate a variety of equipment as assigned.
· Requires a high level of attention to detail.
