Job Title: Yard Loader Operator

Hourly Pay: Starting at $21/hr (depending on experience level)

Reports to: Superintendent

Position Summary:

The Yard Loader Operator position is a key role at the quarry site in order to maintain inventory and proper stockpiles as well as customer orders. This position makes sure that customer orders get filled in a timely and efficient manner by understanding our products and loading them to stockpiles and trucks. This is a great position for someone who wants to operate large equipment and work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must be eighteen years of age or older

· Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

· Must have a track-record of being a dependable employee

· Must have 1-3 years of experience operating front-end loaders

· Preferably have experience with medium size loaders. For example, CAT 980, CAT 972, Komatsu WA500, John Deere 844, or equivalent.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for knowing aggregate products

· Loads customer trucks in efficient, safe, and accurate manner

· Maintains stockpiles as needed

· Communicates with customer truck drivers to ensure quality and timely service

· Operates yard loader within the company guidelines and safety standards

· Performs daily pre-shift inspection of equipment and report needed repairs to the supervisor

· Performs preventative maintenance procedures such as lubrication and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipment

· Aides in the training of co-workers as needed

· Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Essential Functions, Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

· Pre-employment drug screening

· Able to work outdoors in most weather conditions

· Able to work in a physically rigorous work environment. Position may involve walking, standing, sitting, bending, and climbing stairs. Job may require crouching, stooping, or crawling.

· Able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs

· Able to climb steps/ladders

· Able to sit for hours

· Able to shovel material
