We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with expertise in Siemens PLC programming and a comprehensive understanding of industrial software development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PLC programming, remote I/O protocols, and equipment control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design, develop, and implement software solutions for equipment control using Siemens PLCs.
•Develop, test, and maintain PLC code for application software.
•Interface with remote I/O Profibus and Profinet to ensure seamless communication and control of equipment.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project team, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to develop integrated solutions tailored to meet our clients' needs.
•Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
•Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC systems and software applications.
•Participate in system design and architecture discussions to promote efficient, scalable solutions.
•Mentor and guide junior engineers in PLC programming best practices and industry standards.
•Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
•Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, design practices, and user manuals.
•Work under minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of relevant experience)
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC programming, specifically with Siemens systems.
•Proficiency in PLC programming languages.
•Skill in C and Python programming languages is a plus
•Skill in HMI developing is a plus
•Strong understanding of remote I/O protocols and their applications in industrial environments.
•Extensive experience in equipment control and automation.
•Prior experience in the oil and gas drilling industry is a strong plus.
•Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of operating in a multicultural environment.
•Willingness to travel internationally as required to support project deployment and client needs.
•Can work in English environment, fluent writing and verbal skills.
•Experience in the oil and gas industry is highly advantageous.
