Lead Mechanical Engineer

Lead Mechanical Engineer (Bach in Mech Engg or equiv w/ 5 yrs exp) – Topeka, KS. Job entails working w/ & reqs exp incl: Programming VB.NET & VBA, integrating CAD & Excel API for engg design automation; Machine design calculations & hydraulic system analyses; Utilizing Engineering PDM systems, incl Autodesk Vault; Designing 3-D structural & mechanical dredge equipment models using Autodesk Inventor; Utilizing DFMA to design custom steel parts, assemblies, & weldments to be manufactured utilizing CNC plasma cutters, mills, & lathes; Ensuring manufactured components meet required industry material (ANSI, AISI, ASTM) & welding (AWS) standards, & specs; Using FEA to quantify the behavior of designed equipment. Various worksites: travel (5-6% of the work year) and relocation to project-based unanticipated worksites within USA possible.

Base Pay: $119,850.00 per year
