Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee and coordinate activities within our steel fab shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of welding processes, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
•
Supervise and lead a team of workers on-site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
•
Read and interpret drawings.
•
Provide training and support to team members.
•
Collaborate with direct foreman and supervisor to address any issues that arise.
•
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Experience
•
Journeyman welder
•
Leadhand or other supervisory experience
•
Ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels of the organization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00-$36.00 per hour
