Overview
A Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential customers (leads) for a company’s products or services. They play a critical role in filling the sales pipeline, enabling the sales team to focus on closing deals. Focuses on locating, verifying, and enriching data—especially contact information—through online research and tools. This role is more focused on accuracy and depth of information rather than direct lead qualification.
✅ Technical & Analytical Skills
•Ability to research, extract, and verify contact or company data.
•Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho).
•Data entry and database management.
•Understanding of data scraping tools and techniques (manual and automated).
✅ Marketing & Sales Knowledge
•Basic understanding of sales funnels and lead qualification criteria (MQLs, SQLs).
•Familiarity with B2B marketing, email marketing, and list segmentation.
Tools Proficiency
•Spreadsheets: Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets (filters, pivot tables, data validation).
•CRM Platforms: Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho.
•Lead Gen Tools: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, ZoomInfo, Lusha, Hunter.io.
•Data Enrichment & Verification: NeverBounce, Clearbit, Skrapp, VoilaNorbert.
•Web Research Tools: Google search operators, LinkedIn, company websites, WHOIS.
Soft Skills
•Attention to detail (critical for accurate data handling).
•Communication skills (for outreach and collaboration with sales/marketing teams).
