We are currently seeking an Electrical Lead Hand to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and assisting with the electrical assembly, wiring, and installation of industrial systems within our metal enclosures and fabricated components. You will work closely with the production team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead and support a team of electricians in the installation, assembly, and maintenance of electrical systems within prefabricated metal enclosures
- Work hands-on alongside the team on the production floor to ensure high-quality and timely completion of projects
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints
- Safely handle and operate electrical tools, test equipment, and machinery
- Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Run and terminate cables, install panels, lights, receptacles, switches, and related components
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and wiring
- Install and layout Unistrut, cable trays, and major electrical equipment
- Coordinate with production supervisors and other departments to maintain workflow and quality standards
- Train, mentor, and guide apprentices and electricians as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
- Red Seal Electrician certification or equivalent
- Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing experience (experience in metal enclosures is an asset)
- Previous Lead Hand or supervisory experience in an electrical or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and industrial controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Must be comfortable working in a hands-on role on the production floor
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
