Hexium is hiring a laser scientist to lead the development of high average power nanosecond-pulsed lasers. In this role you will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop lasers that will be used for a laser isotope separation process. You will be responsible for working with the team to define requirements for laser systems and leading their development. Your work will focus on high average power and high peak power nanosecond-pulsed, narrow-bandwidth lasers, as well as optical systems for conditioning, routing, and measuring the light they produce.
Hexium is an early-stage company building hardware at the cutting edge of laser science, plasma physics and atomic physics. Join our team to help build transformational technology for supplying isotopes to the clean energy industry. We are based in the vibrant city of Austin, TX and offer a competitive compensation package that includes medical and dental benefits, 401(k) matching, employee stock options, performance bonuses, and paid time off.
