Summary: Job Responsibilities Summary:
•
Acquire and obtain access/lease, steward, monetize and/or divest surface and/or subsurface rights to deliver/protect value and mitigate risk across the asset life cycle, and provide expert advice on best practices and strategic cross-functional and complex opportunities
•
Develop, negotiate and execute new commercial agreements (e.g., leases and right-of-way), obtaining all functional alignment, as required
•
Analyze, manage and steward contracts, as needed (e.g., acreage and risk management, and compliance).
•
Develop, prioritize and recommend commercial concepts/structures for the acquisition and/or monetization of a business opportunity for new and existing assets.
•
Acquire, trade, monetize or divest asset rights to deliver value.
•
Manage and sustain external relationships relevant to own portfolio (e.g., government officials, landowners, service providers and partners)
•
Provide guidance to support development and execution of business strategies/plans
•
Negotiate and manage claim/dispute mitigation and resolution
•
Coordinate and/or determine land ownership, evaluate risks, and cure title defects
•
Manage and coordinate contract personnel (field & in-house)
•
Provide litigation support
Qualifications:
•
Knowledge and experience with title, courthouse, alignment sheets, easement and acquisition documents.
•
Proficient in commercial negotiation, influence, internal and external relationship management
•
Mineral and surface land experience preferred
