• (1)Calculate mineral and royalty ownership estimates using well, tract, unit, lease and regulatory data in a timely manner.
• (2)Ability to forecast future drilling locations based on surrounding activity, interpret permitting and drilling trends, and understand how properties may be unitized in various basins
• (3)Support and utilize offsite contractors to maintain databases containing well, tract, unit and ownership records with accurate and up to date information.
• (4)Help identify, confirm, and estimate mineral and royalty ownership for outbound campaign efforts.
• (5)Support all phases of Land in the evaluation and due diligence processes for acquisitions.
• (6)Work with data development and engineering team to implement new land focused software features to aid in day-to-day work processes.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (PLM degree preferred)
• 2-3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in a land analyst, lease analyst, division order analyst, landman or similar role
• Basic to intermediate understanding of land tract legal descriptions, well/unit NRI/NRA calculations, O&G mineral/royalty interest types, and chain of title
• Experience using GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) to create, edit, and analyze tract and unit geometries for mapping and land analysis purposes
• Working knowledge of Division Orders, Legal and/or Title experience preferred
• Knowledge and competence with computers and various software such as MS Office suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) – experience with Enverus and QGIS a plus.
• Familiarity with various State (OK, TX, NM, UT, CO, LA), Federal and BLM regulations preferred
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating self-awareness, accountability, and the capacity to take instruction and apply it effectively
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task with attention to accuracy
• Must be goal-oriented, approaching projects with a sense of urgency and drive
• Must have the ability to seek out, implement and adapt to new technologies, workflows and processes
• Annual Performance Based Bonus and potential for equity compensation with tenure
