Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
We are currently looking for a Land Accountant/Payouts Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis in our Calgary office.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Prepare, track, and manage detailed payout statements, including regular updates throughout the year and comprehensive annual reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution to all stakeholders.
•
Administer and process the coding, payment, collection, and invoicing for land open invoices and manual land invoices.
•
Maintain and routinely review land vendor records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
•
Assist with monthly land-related accounting entries, account reconciliations, and various tasks as part of the month-end close process.
•
Coordination with the Land department to ensure accuracy and efficiency in land-related financial processes.
•
Provide ad-hoc support and backup coverage during team absences or vacation periods.
Description of Candidate:
•
4-5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with JV/Land accounting experience.
•
Industry experience in oil and gas accounting, specifically related to payouts.
•
Previous experience using an accounting software, including experience with EnergyLink, Landrite and Accumap would be an asset.
•
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
•
Strong team player with a proactive, collaborative mindset
•
Have worked independently in high volume and fast-paced environments.
•
Strong attention to detail and highly organized
