Laboratory Supervisor

Lab Supervisor – RohmTek

RohmTek is seeking a highly experienced Lab Supervisor

to oversee laboratory operations, lead the current laboratory technicians, and ensure the highest quality of analytical results. The ideal candidate combines a strong background in chemistry or materials sciences with proven leadership experience and a hands-on track record across a wide range of laboratory instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage laboratory staff, including scheduling, training, mentoring, and performance management.

- Oversee execution and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Manage and prioritize laboratory projects to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective results.

- Lead implementation and adoption of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

- Collaborate with the Project Management team to align laboratory operations with client expectations.

- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Provide technical oversight and troubleshooting support for laboratory instrumentation and workflows.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of lab processes, data integrity, and client deliverables.

Technical Expertise Required

Direct experience operating and interpreting data from the following:

- Fluid & Chemical Analysis

: ICP-MS, ICP-OES, Atomic Absorption (AA), Ion Chromatography, TOC, general fluid and brine chemistry.

- Materials Characterization

: SEM, XRD, XRF, FTIR.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Earth Sciences (Master’s preferred).

- Minimum

10 years of laboratory experience

, with at least

5 years in a supervisory or management role

.

- Strong track record of managing teams, workflows, and complex laboratory schedules.

- Proven success implementing SOPs, quality systems, and laboratory management tools (LIMS experience strongly preferred).

- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
