Lab Analyst Technician

Job Summary

The Marathon Martinez California Renewable Fuel Refinery is currently seeking a Lab Technician/Analyst to work in the Quality Assurance Laboratory. The position’s work schedule will be 5 AM - 5:30 PM AND 5:00 PM- 5:30AM - 4 days on and 4 days off - rotating between days and night shifts.

Starting pay - $49.05. Training will be provided to assist Lab Tech in achieving top qualification rate of $55.09. Typically Lab Tech reach top rate within one year. This is a union position with United Steelworkers Local 5.

Key Responsibilities* Conduct physical and chemical laboratory test procedures using standard industry methods.

Education, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications* Must have Bachelors Degree in Science with four college chemistry courses and two college chemistry labs. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)

Preferred Qualifications* Three or more years of lab experience in a refinery or petrochemical industry is preferred.
