In this role, you will be asked to perform a wide range of duties in the fast-moving kitchen that serves the local Conservice team members, contributing to the success of the Grill, by performing various aspects of meal preparation and delivery. The ideal candidate can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask without sacrificing accuracy in your work and be able to perform well within a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Food Prep- organize the kitchen and do food prep to streamline cooking and meal presentation, including washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables; mixing ingredients for dishes; and cutting and seasoning meats
- Meal Cook and Presentation- you will prepare food following all food safety guidelines and the recipes provided and plate and serve the food, in an organized and efficient manner.
- Stock Kitchen and Storeroom- You help to receive, stack, and properly store food in kitchens, cold storage, and storerooms and transfer food and supplies to the kitchen as needed.
- Cleaning Duties- You will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the kitchen, food prep, and food storage areas are clean and properly sanitized. This includes washing dishes and cooking equipment, cleaning floors, sanitizing countertops, and cutting boards, and maintaining all areas to health code standards
- Kitchen Setup and Breakdown- turn on the lights and grills, start the kitchen prep work, and prepare the kitchen and customer areas for service. When you are the last to leave, you will ensure all the food and dishes are stored appropriately, clean and mop the floors, and turn off all ovens, stoves, and other cooking equipment
- Dependable and reliable to be on time for work, and consistent with the work they do
- This role requires physical stamina as you will be on your feet for the duration of the shifts, so you must have the ability to stand for extended periods
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- Good customer service skills are expected as you will interact with customers
- Ability to work in a safe manner with all kitchen equipment
- Willingness to assist other team members and be a team player
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
