Junior Machine Operator
to join our team.
As a member of the Manufacturing team, the Junior Machine Operator will join us in supporting our growing business by helping ensure that our manufacturing lines run without error. The Junior Machine Operator
will provide support to the Production Supervisor for the commercial line at our plant located in Milton, ON.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Coil and Strip Handling:
+ Change coils and strips as required during production, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
+ Ensure proper alignment and secure attachment of coils to avoid damage or production delays.
+ Assist in the joining of coils to maintain continuous production flow.
+ Follow specific procedures for joining coils safely and efficiently, minimizing material waste.
+ Work closely with the machine operator to support daily machine setup and operation.
+ Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor machine issues as needed.
+ Provide support in monitoring machine performance to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
•Quality Control Support:
+ Inspect materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
+ Ensure all materials used meet production quality standards and report any deviations.
+ Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
+ Report any major equipment issues to the machine operator or supervisor.
+ Follow all safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
+ Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to the supervisor or team lead.
•Record Keeping and Documentation:
+ Maintain accurate logs of production activities, material usage, and downtime as needed.
•Assist with tracking inventory and materials to ensure continuous supply for operations

•Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with machinery or equipment.
•Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
•Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
•Ability to follow instructions, read technical manuals, and perform simple troubleshooting.
•Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
•Strong commitment to safety practices and workplace standards.
