We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to actively contribute to the design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes. The role involves applying Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, guides, and Standard Application Programs (SAPs) to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Participate in the design, development, and evaluation of mechanical systems, components, and processes.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret data to build professional expertise using standard mechanical engineering techniques and industry best practices.
- Maintain and provide input to technical logs, records, and documentation.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and provide mechanical engineering support where needed.
- Assist in preparing conceptual studies, designs, reports, and proposals.
- Evaluate and apply standard mechanical engineering methods and techniques, using independent judgment to adapt solutions as necessary.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues, project teams, clients, and regulatory personnel on complex mechanical and regulatory issues.
- Support project and construction management in meeting mechanical requirements and resolving issues during project execution.
- Coordinate and present technical material as requested.
- Experience working with procedures in compliance with quality assurance programs such as AS9100.
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Basic knowledge of developing CSI MasterFormat specifications or Unified Facilities Guide Specifications using SpecsIntact.
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical system design, including equipment sizing and selection, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and requirements verification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering (or international equivalent).
- 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Passed the Engineering in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering Examination in the USA (Mechanical or related Engineering).
