The Junior Geologist Analyst will contribute to the business development project by conducting comprehensive market research and geological analysis. This position aims to identify new business opportunities and support GroundTruth's strategic growth objectives.
This role is integral to our strategic market research initiatives, focusing on identifying new opportunities and supporting growth within our West, Central, and East location portfolios.
- Conduct in-depth market research and geological analysis to identify emerging trends, key players, and potential clients within the mining and exploration sectors, with a specific focus on our West, Central, and East location portfolios.
- Utilize geological software and data analysis tools to interpret complex datasets, identify areas of interest and potential project opportunities, and provide insights relevant to business development strategies.
- Compile and digitize public geological data and maps to update and analyze information, determining targets for potential programs.
- Prepare detailed geological reports and presentations to support strategic decision-making and client proposals.
- Identify and assess potential business opportunities for development over the next three years.
- Assist in the development of business cases and proposals by providing geological and technical input.
- Work closely with Senior Geologist and Business Development Manager, gaining mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in geological analysis, exploration, or a related field.
- Experience with geological mapping, data interpretation, and report writing.
- Familiarity with market research principles and business development concepts is a plus.
- Canadian Citizen or valid Canadian Permanent Resident or current work permit

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge in software and resources (e.g.,QGIS, CRM, Canada governments website, Mining associations, etc).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple searches and information.
