Oakpark Powerline Services is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Electrician. This position supports the company by assembling, installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical wiring, control devices and related equipment primarily in an outdoor setting – collaborating with other trades. This position reports to the designated electrical supervisors and the designated project manager.

Install, replace, repair, maintain, troubleshoot and test electrical fixtures, controls, distribution equipment and circuits
- Read and interpret drawings and diagrams
- Splice, join and connect wires; including pulling through conduit
- Participate in site inspections
- Participate in creating and maintaining a safe work environment
- Maintain current knowledge of the Electrical Code
- Supervise and coach Electrical Apprentices
- Drive company vehicle
- Complete and communicate daily paperwork such as JHA, Pre-Trips and Production Reports
- Red Seal Electrical certificate
- Valid HC Trade License (MB)
- Class 5 driver’s license with air brake endorsement (or equivalent) with satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Able to work independently without supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed an asset
- Ability to work out of town for periods of up to 2 weeks at a time considered an asset
- Experience working in commercial / industrial settings
- Experience working on emergency services
- Additional requirement may vary by project
